Statements of Faith

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the whole and inerrant Word of God.

  • The Bible is a collection of 66 books [A Bibleography] comprising the Old and New Testaments; 2 Timothy 3:16 AMP

  • All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage];
  • The Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct and is essentially the Christian's handbook, that God provided.
  • The "Version" (KJV, NKJV, NIV, etc.) doesn't matter as much as your ability to understand what is said. We use a variety of Biblical texts.  Unfortunately there are a few versions that omit text and thus change the impact or meaning.
  • Preacher George uses the KJV/NKJV/Geneva 1599, but will also use the NIV and others.
  • We will strive to annotate which version we are using, with the quoted scriptures.
  • If anyone needs a Bible, Contact Us and we will get one to you if and when we can.   Please note: we desire to help all, but there must be a limit to what we can do.  We will provide ONE Bible, to One individual as we are able.  Normally, that Bible will be an economy large print Bible in NKJV (New King James Version).  If you require a specific language or version,  if we are able, we will do our best to meet your needs. However, shipping outside the United States of America is not practical for our finances, at this time.

Faith

By Faith, We Understand,  It is through this definition of Faith that we believe in all the Bible teaches us. God created Atoms, atoms form molecules, and so on until air is created, and dirt is created, and so on. Through the study of Atoms, we see God's handy work again, hence how our solar system works.

Faith Defined: Hebrews 11:1-3  KJV

1. Faith is the [a]substance of things hoped for, the [b]evidence of things not seen.

2. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

3. By faith we understand that the [c]worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that the things that are seen, were not made of invisible things.

God

We believe in one God, Creator of all, holy, sovereign, eternal, existing in three equal Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. But HE is more than even all of this.  He is the Judge of the Universe.  He is just in all that He does.  And that includes discipline.  God does NOT 'spare the rod' and certainly does NOT 'spoil the child' (us) when we step out of His grace.

God loves every one of his human creations, but He allows us to decide whether to follow Him, through Christ Jesus, or not.  We are NOT compelled to accept Christ's gift of eternal life with Him, but most of us are allowed to make that decision.  The last thing God wants, and we certainly feel the same way, is to see anyone cast into the lake of fire.

After we accept the Grace of Christ, we are not restricted from committing sins.  The difference is in how we feel after we have sinned. When the Holy Spirit pokes us with the pointy stick and says, "You messed up!"  Sometimes it is SO loud that we seem to even HEAR it. Other times it is just a tap on the shoulder and a wagging finger.  But WE KNOW what we have done and THAT is the time to come clean. Confession is good for the soul, and you only have to confess to Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the absolute and essential deity of our Lord Jesus Christ

  • In His eternal existence, with the Father in pre-incarnate glory.
  • In His work of creation, in His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary/propitiatory death, and bodily resurrection.
  • In His triumphant ascension, mediatorial ministry, and personal return in power and glory to rule Heaven and Earth.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the absolute and essential deity and the personality of the Holy Spirit

  • Who convicts us of sin, points us to righteousness, and warns us of judgment.
  • Who renews, indwells, seals, sanctifies, illuminates, and comforts those who believe in Jesus Christ
  • Who baptizes believers at conversion into the Body of Christ and bestows upon them His gifts sovereignly as He wills and fills those that yield to Him.

Mankind

We believe that Adam was divinely created in the image of God.

  • That by the sin of willful disobedience he fell from that state (divinity). And, that all his posterity inherited spiritual depravity and defilement.
  • Therefore, all men are guilty before God and condemned to physical and spiritual death.
  • That there are only two genders/sexes, Male and Female. So, God created man in his image,
In the image of God, he created him; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27 (ESV)
To say anything else is to deny God and His authority.
  • Marriage was designed by God for only a male/female couple.  Genesis 2:21-24 (ESV). So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept [GOD] took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22 And the rib the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. 23 Then the man said, “This, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man.”  24 Therefore, a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. Genesis 2:21-24 (ESV)
  • God calls homosexuality, an abomination; including same-sex marriage, of either gender.  Jude 1:7 : 7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire. ESV
1 Corinthians 6:9 AMP Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God?  Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [by perversion] nor those who participate in homosexuality....   Our ministry will discuss these last three points with anyone willing to do so calmly and reasonably. We are here to provide biblical answers as best we can.  And we pray that anyone that wishes to have a discussion is willing to have an open mind to the biblical truth.  We do not condone or support "gay rights".  All Americans have rights as enumerated and guaranteed under the U S Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, and as enacted by the Congress of the United States of America and by precedent set by the Supreme Court.  No particular group or person deserves any "SPECIAL" rights because of who or what they are, or profess to be.
  • All men are fallible  Try as we might, or think we are, none of us are perfect.

  • We will do our best to provide accurate and correct Bible-based answers to your questions but sometimes we will get things wrong.  This is why we invite discussion, via the contact us link, or via our Facebook groups/pages, or our email (especially in the instance of a LONG discussion).  Hold us accountable, as we need to be able to research your questions as well as dig for proper understanding for ourselves.

Salvation: We believe that salvation is by the sovereign grace of God.

  • Salvation is by faith alone, by the all-sufficient sacrifice and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Christ voluntarily suffered a propitiatory/substitutionary death (The punishment for sin) on the cross so we could live, doing this in obedience to God's will.
  • God gave all humans free will, to choose or reject the saving grace of Christ.  He also gave us the Holy Spirit who provides us the ability to resist the temptation to sin.  Because of this belief, we reject the concept of PREDESTINATION (that all mankind is selected to either be or not be perfected by God.  We believe that a Holy and Just God would not be that unfair.
  • Salvation is immediate, based on the redeeming sacrifice of Christ Jesus.  To deny this is  denying that Christ became the perfect sacrifice for our sins.
  • We must state emphatically that salvation is NOT "a license to sin".  Far from it. When you accept Christ, you become a part of His Body (The Church) and you have accepted the most difficult job of your life.  Living your life, as close as you can; to the example given by Christ Himself. Which is admittedly an impossible goal.  However, we still strive to this end.
  • "Once Saved, Always Saved"  is the FALSE concept of "Eternal Security" that we must address, considering the above-stated points.  This concept is not biblical and it seems to be contrary to the general theology.  Paul says to confess our sins daily.  If the Ten Commandments are still God's moral standard, and we tell a lie; we just violated the 9th commandment.  Which is a SIN, and punishable by the 2nd death.  If we commit even the smallest of sins, it is STILL a sin.  If we were to suddenly die with that sin on us, we would be guilty before a just and HOLY God.  We all sin, frequently, and that is a very sad thing.  But we are given the Holy Spirit that speaks to us just as frequently about the sins we have committed each day.

Tithes and Giving

Bold Faith & Redeemed Lion Ministries do NOT actively seek funding from anyone.  We are NOT a 501c3 not-for-profit religious organization and are currently 100% self-funded. The reason that we do not solicit donations,is that we believe that we are freely given God's Word, and therefore should freely give. Because of this, we do not offer or issue tax-deduction receipts at any time.

If you are determined to donate to a ministry, check out the missions we support under the Ministries tab at the top of this page, and donate directly to them.  We also support local pantries and closets for those in our immediate area needing assistance.

If you are or know of a missionary or organization that needs support, we would be grateful to receive contact information. Please provide the missionary or organization name, address, and phone number if possible, and/or another contact person or option, if known. Thank you and may God bless you richly.

Judgment Day

The day is coming when saints and sinners alike will be judged by Christ Jesus.  There are many names for this event and one of these is "The Great White Throne Judgment".  This is the time when Jesus will review every one of us, to show each of us what we have been and done, throughout our lives.  The hardest thing for any professing Christian to hear is that we may NOT be worthy of heaven. The Bible says in Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV -

Narrow is the Way

13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

14 [a]Because narrow is the gate and [b]difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

If this doesn't scare you, you may very well already be headed down that broad path and that is something that no true follower of Christ wants, not even those who do not know Christ.  All we can do is share the Gospel of Christ and the grace God has shown us all in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross.

We do not provide or suggest a "Sinners Prayer".  But Rev. Joe prays for all:  "Heavenly Father, we are not worthy of your love and mercy. We deserve all that we are due because of the failures in our lives.  Lord, we plead the Blood of Christ Jesus, to wash us of all our sins and fill us with the Holy Spirit.  Lord Jesus, you are my King, my Savior, and the Only Way to the Father.  I give my life to you, to do with as you will.  In Jesus Holy and Mighty name, Amen."

NOTE: I recommend you construct your prayer, and not "parrot" this one.  The corporate "Prayer for Salvation" is not something that should never be done, instead, each person should make the prayer PERSONAL to themselves.  Including in that prayer, a list of the sins that you are aware that you have committed.  The Ten Commandments are a good place to start to discover what those sins are.  Also, review what Jesus said about the Commandments in the Gospels, the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

Holy days

We don't observe the so-called "Christian" Holy days of Easter and Christmas because of their pagan origins.  Instead, we have one celebration to thank God for His precious gift of grace through Christ Jesus.  This is a time for reflection and reverence toward the creator of the universe and all that is in it. We make this observance at the time of Passover.  In other places, within this website, we address the validity of those "holy days", from our perspective.
